Duclas Charles, PharmD

Dr. Duclas Charles, PharmD, is a highly accomplished and dedicated individual currently serving as the Pharmacy Manager for a medical cannabis facility in New York City. A Brooklyn native, Duclas developed a passion for science and people at a young age, ultimately leading him to pursue his Pharmacy degree at Howard University, an HBCU in Washington, DC.

Upon graduation, Duclas returned to New York and began his career in pharmacy. He has extensive experience working in community and hospital settings and has served as the Operations Manager for a technology-based pharmacy start-up. Duclas' commitment to helping and educating others, combined with his interest in integrative medicine, ultimately led him to the field of medical cannabis.

In addition to his role as a staff pharmacist, Duclas also serves as the Co-Chair of several ERGs and is the founder of Black Health Connect, a national network of African American health professionals dedicated to addressing health equity for Black and Brown patients by promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for The Association for Cannabis Health Equity and Medicine (ACHEM), the International Society of Cannabis Pharmacists, and the Association of Cannabis Specialists.

Outside of healthcare, Duclas is a co-founder of Strivers' Row, a collective of entrepreneurs, professionals, and creatives based in the NYC area, and also sits on the advisory cabinet for Black Entrepreneurs NYC (BENYC), a groundbreaking organization established in 2019 to help create equity of opportunity and advance Black entrepreneurship in the city.
